5-for-6 Day for Menjivar Tuesday, June 8th , 2032 San Jose Giants second baseman David Menjivar had a day to remember at Excite Ballpark, ripping apart the Fresno Grizzlies and sparking the 5-4 Giants win. Menjivar wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Menjivar told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." David Menjivar hit an RBI double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI triple in the 9th and doubled in the 11th.
