Jersey Shore Sweeps Crawdads Friday, September 29th , 2034 It was a glorious moment for BlueClaws fans today as Jersey Shore claimed the 2034 Round 2 title with a 16-7 victory at FirstEnergy Park. Jubilant Jersey Shore players swamped each other on the diamond after completing a dominant sweep of the Hickory Crawdads, as chants of "Thank you, BlueClaws" reverberated all around the ballpark. In the losing dugout, sadness reigned. Crawdads skipper Kelvin Nova told reporters it was "hard to describe" the feeling of losing in the Round 2. "Your heart is heavy, you are hurting -- it's a very difficult time," he said. "And to be swept is embarrassing. You just want to forget it ever happened." For the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, it was a season to remember. They finished the regular season with a record of 71-61, good enough for second place in the Northern Division.
