Delmarva Gets 3-0 Win Behind Lefty Thornberry
The Delmarva Shorebirds got a magnificent effort from pitcher Josh Thornberry, who kept Salem hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Shorebirds win at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. At 51-42, the Shorebirds find themselves in second place in the Northern Division.

The Shorebirds liked what they saw from Thornberry. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Red Sox to no runs on 1 hit over 7.1 innings, and striking out 7.

"Josh was really attacking guys' weaknesses and he didn't leave a lot of balls over the plate," said Delmarva field general Parker Guinn.
