The Delmarva Shorebirds dumped the Salem Red Sox, 10-2, in large part due to third baseman Ben Farnam. On the day, Farnam went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Shorebirds. The slumping Red Sox have dropped 7 in a row.

The Shorebirds got a big hit from center fielder Revin Wessing. Facing Salem pitcher Juan Juarbe in the bottom of the eighth, Wessing pounded a grand slam home run to right. His 1st home run of the season put the Shorebirds ahead, 10-2.
