Woodpeckers Suffer One-Run Loss at Fredericksburg
Fredericksburg Nationals starter Alexis Guevara was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, 2-1. Guevara picked up the win for Fredericksburg, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. The Nationals now have a record of 33-32.

Luis Sandoval had a big run-scoring double for the Nationals in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Fredericksburg leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Nate Sullivan and swatted a double to center. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nationals ahead, 2-0.
