Down East Loses Again
|
Tyshawn McCadney, who is tied for 10th in the with a 8.1 K/9 rate, propelled his team to victory over the Down East Wood Ducks. The final score was 1-0, Myrtle Beach. McCadney got the win, improving to 5-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. J.J. Thompson earned save number 14 this season.
In the bottom of the second, Luis Castaneda delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Myrtle Beach shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Pelicans in front, 1-0.
"Tyshawn gave us a really strong effort," said Myrtle Beach manager Benny Lowe.
