PNC Park was the site for National League action featuring the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds.

The Cincinnati Reds got a marvelous performance from pitcher Byron Mistry. The right-hander kept the Pittsburgh offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 Cincinnati victory at PNC Park. Mistry got the win, improving to 4-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was Dave Gogel, his 6th.

Drake Baldwin came through with a big-time hit for Cincinnati. The catcher smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Baldwin called the win "a pick-me-upper."

With the loss, Pittsburgh falls to 9-14.
