Lavastida Helps Sounds Run Win Streak to 6
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Bryan Lavastida, the Nashville Sounds defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 15-7. Lavastida was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4 for the Sounds. Blake Larson claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 6-3. The Sounds improved their record to 57-48 with the win over Lehigh Valley.

With Nashville trailing 3-2 in the top of the second, Lavastida hit a cutter from Mikell Manzano for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Sounds ahead, 5-3.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Nashville manager Chris Woodward.
