Wet weather did not postpone the Lake County-Fort Wayne ballgame.

The Lake County Captains topped the Fort Wayne TinCaps, 7-4, in Midwest League action at Classic Park. The standout performance belonged to Lake County pitcher and Phoenix, Arizona, native Jerry Taylor. Taylor picked up the win for Lake County, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-2.

The Captains got a big at-bat from first baseman Ben Dedman. For the game, Dedman was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Lake County a 2-1 lead.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Taylor told a Lake County Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
