Blue Rocks Show Nerve in Tight 1-0 Win
The Greensboro Grasshoppers got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Warren. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Wilmington. The Blue Rocks won the game, 1-0. Warren threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Wilmington reliever Luis Garza picked up the win, while Ken Plunk took the loss for Greensboro. Wilmington now owns a record of 34-22.

The Blue Rocks got a clutch hit from first baseman Joe Sheridan. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blue Rocks.

"It was bedlam at the end," Sheridan said.
