Another game, another loss for the struggling Hudson Valley Renegades.

Zach Goike added some punch to the Greensboro offense, helping them outmuscle the Hudson Valley Renegades, 9-7. In the game, Goike, who is tied for 10th in the with a .407 on-base percentage, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was Greensboro reliever Ken Plunk, now 4-2. The loser was Mike Clements.

Had Josh Anders not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Anders hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Grasshoppers.

"Winning a ballgame these days," losing manager Pat Ahearne told reporters, "is harder than big game hunting without a gun."

The misery never ends for the Renegades, who've lost 10 in a row.
