Canadians Rally to Beat Dust Devils, 7-3
|
Edgar Pineda helped his team muscle past the Tri-City Dust Devils, 7-3. In the game, the Vancouver right fielder was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Dave Bobrow, who is tied for 4th in the in holds with 4, picked up the win in relief. Alejandro Alas took the loss for Tri-City. Greg Nash got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
Pineda had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Alejandro Alas, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Canadians a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Pineda.
"It all comes down to execution," said Vancouver manager Ian Snell. "Baseball 101."
Vancouver is sailing along at 55-26.
