AquaSox Lose By a Run at Tri-City
|
The Dust Devils grabbed a win, 2-1, at Gesa Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Everett pitcher Stephon Drummer. Drummer went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Nate Oakes finished the game for Tri-City and earned his 2nd save. Tri-City leads the Northwest League by 9½ games.
The Dust Devils got a big at-bat from catcher Brad Hasbrouck. For the game, Hasbrouck was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Tri-City a 2-1 lead.
Hasbrouck told reporters after the game: "Runs were scarce, so we had to work hard to get the W."
