Missions Land Close Win
|
The San Antonio Missions picked up a win at Hodgetown, downing the Amarillo Sod Poodles, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for San Antonio was left-hander Jesus Segura, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Edgar Salas in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Macho Agro took the loss. San Antonio is now 42-56.
San Antonio needed the clutch hitting of Jonathan Milewski to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Missions on top, 3-2. For the game, Milewski had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We didn't go down without a fight," said Amarillo manager Jon Berry.
