Sod Poodles Take Down Missions, 4-3
Amarillo ruined an otherwise fine effort from Mike Polite by toppling San Antonio, 4-3. The San Antonio pitcher threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Amarillo reliever Steve Garen picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Tim Litter was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Amarillo sits at 35-62, while San Antonio falls to 41-56.

The Sod Poodles got a clutch hit from catcher Jake Timothy. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sod Poodles.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Timothy. "I like it."
