In a tight tilt between Midland and Amarillo, pitcher Juan Alti was a key contributor. The left-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-1 RockHounds win. Wilfredo Ledesma earned the save for Midland, his 12th. The win makes Midland 40-31.

In the bottom of the fifth, Nate Cleary delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Midland left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the RockHounds in front, 3-1.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Cleary told the Midland Bulletin. "But we take nothing for granted."
