In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

Gwinnett starter Marquez Aguilera kept the Omaha hitters in check, while his team cruised to a win, 9-2. Aguilera got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Chris Avalos earned the save, his 1st.

Chris Landess had a big bases-clearing double for the Stripers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Gwinnett leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Sly and swatted a double to center. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stripers ahead, 4-0.

"Marquez was in attack mode," said Gwinnett manager Randy Vanderplow.

With the win, Gwinnett goes to 45-45, while the Storm Chasers fall to 57-33.
