The Omaha Storm Chasers withstood a fine game by Charlotte center fielder Jonathan McWhorter at Truist Field, to upend the Knights, 8-7. McWhorter went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Jeremy Marshall, the winner, goes to 3-1. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. The win puts Omaha at 37-36 this season.

Aaron Judge had a big 2-run home run for the Storm Chasers in the top of the first inning. With Omaha leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Juan Amezcua and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Storm Chasers on top, 3-0.

"We got the victory," said Judge. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
