Though he had a terrific game, Allen Hernandez could not prevent his team, the Worcester Red Sox, from absorbing a loss. Omaha won the game, 6-5. Hernandez went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Jesus Garcia in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Jaime Simpson took the loss. The second-place Red Sox have dropped 4 straight games.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for John Samuel Abraham? The 27-year old second baseman Abraham stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Omaha up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Storm Chasers manager Richard Betemit.
