Richmond Flying Squirrels starter Donta Sewer was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bowie Baysox, 6-3. The third-place Flying Squirrels sport a record of 36-36.

Chris Lippard had a big 2-run double for the Flying Squirrels in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Richmond leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a slider from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Soriano and swatted a double to left. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 5-2.

"Donta was really locked in," said Richmond manager Marlyn Tisdale.
