Dotson Hits 2 Roundtrippers, Fisher Cats Win, 6-5
New Hampshire beat Binghamton at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Kacen Dotson. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. New Hampshire reliever Juan Mendoza, who is tied for 7th in the in holds with 4, was credited with the win. His record goes to 8-1. Billy Laing took the loss for Binghamton. New Hampshire raised its record to 31-25 with the win.

Had Jeff Pierce not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Pierce hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Fisher Cats.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Dotson, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
