Chihuahuas Drop 3-1 Decision
|
A good time was had by all at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, where the El Paso Chihuahuas and Oklahoma City Dodgers tangled.
Oklahoma City Dodgers pitcher Josh Dalton was in top form, leading his team past the El Paso Chihuahuas, 3-1. Dalton, now 4-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Getting the save was Josh Vanderbush, his 10th.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Dodgers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when designated hitter Jesus Patey hit a 2-run single. The single came off Ted Lane and made the score 2-0, Dodgers. Patey went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
"That was a really good outing by Josh," said Oklahoma City manager Sergio De Luna.
The third-place Dodgers bumped their record to 27-22.
