Reno Tops Oklahoma City, 5-2
|
The Reno Aces overcame a good performance by Oklahoma City second baseman Leonardo Rondon to knock off Oklahoma City, 5-2, at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Rondon was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Chris Hayden came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. So far in 2032, Reno is 21-25.
The Aces got a big at-bat from right fielder Chase Davis. For the game, Davis went 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Reno a 2-0 lead.
Said Reno manager Izzy Alcantara: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
