Danny Arambula impressed in the 5-2 Kansas City win over St. Louis. Arambula was 2-3 with 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kansas City, now 66-38, holds down first place in the American League Central Division.
Arambula had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 1-0 curveball from Eric Rodgers, he banged a bases-clearing double to right-center, giving the Royals a 4-1 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Arambula.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Kevin Cash.
