3-2 Win Gets New York to 54-45
|
Starting pitcher Greg Frazier gave the New York Yankees a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Boston Red Sox, 3-2, at Yankee Stadium. Katsuhiko Kasai closed out the game, earning his 25th save. The Yankees, at 54-45, sit in second place in the American League East Division.
New York center fielder Juan Figueroa helped the Yankees go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Figueroa hit a run-scoring single off Boston pitcher Mike Lindstrom.
"Greg did a heck of a job," said New York manager Paul Lockhart.
