Guerrero Jr. Helps Toronto Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays pinned a convincing loss on the Houston Astros, 10-3, at Minute Maid Park. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was a main factor in the win. He was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 4 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Toronto. Toronto pitcher D.J. Crook got the win. He's now 8-2. Kendry Rojas was tagged with the loss. With the win, the Blue Jays sit at 37-29.
Toronto used a well-timed hit by Jung-hoo Lee to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Things kind of got away from us," said Houston skipper Dickie Joe Thon.
