Blitzed by Bonilla, Padres, Phillies Sink Further in LCS
Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman David Bonilla, the San Diego Padres got a road win against the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-3, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Bonilla belted 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times for the Padres, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the first. That's when Bonilla hit a curveball from Micah Ottenbreit for a 3-run home run, putting San Diego up, 4-0.

Phillies manager Derek Adair did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, October 18th , 2034 at Petco Park in San Diego.
