Houston Wins Wild Card Game
Houston Astros won a nail-biting series against the New York Yankees 2-1, wrapping up the Wild Card Game finale 6-2 at Yankee Stadium.

Astros third baseman Vaughn Neckar was named the series MVP.

He batted .385, drove in 3 runs and scored 2 to lead Houston into the next round of play.

"Vaughn was real solid for us, real solid," said Astros manager Dickie Joe Thon. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time."

The Houston Astros will play against the Los Angeles Angels in the next round. Los Angeles had a bye in the Wild Card Game. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on October 6th , 2034. .
