The Kansas City Royals took down the New York Yankees by the score of 5-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Division Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Kansas City starter Nollys Kolpack, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball.

The Kansas City dugout showed signs of unrest at times. But the Royals put this one in the win column with some good pitching and some timely hitting at critical moments.
