The Wichita Wind Surge got a strong performance from pitcher Sergio Aerrejon, who stymied the visiting Tulsa Drillers en route to a win, 6-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1. The Drillers could never get a bead on the left-handed Aerrejon, who threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The Wind Surge now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-5 series.

With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Steve Wilhelmi barreled up a fastball from Schuyler Sandford. The result was a solo home run, putting the Wind Surge in front, 4-2.

"Sergio just settled in and did what he does," said Wichita manager Doug Johnson.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 25th , 2034 at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.
