Multi-HR Game for Aldridge in 6-5 Win
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Reading Fightin Phils take on the Portland Sea Dogs.

The Portland Sea Dogs beat the Reading Fightin Phils, 6-5, in part because of first baseman Jeff Aldridge. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The loss drops Reading to 15-9.

It could have been a different outcome for Portland, had it not been for Gil Wright, the 24-year old right fielder . Wright contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Portland up, 5-3.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Portland manager John Cummings.
