Minnesota (DSL) Gets 8-7 Win Against Royals
|
The Minnesota (DSL) Twins defeated the Kansas City (DSL) Royals, 8-7, at Minnesota Twins Academy. Minnesota (DSL) left fielder Nelson Salinas had a superb performance. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Jae-woo Kim snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Eric Downing suffered the loss. Earning his 13th save of the year was Chris Urick.
Salinas contributed in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Minnesota (DSL) get the win.
"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Salinas. "Winning helps."
