Fredericksburg Charts 4-2 Win Over Delmarva
The first-place Fredericksburg Nationals took on the Delmarva Shorebirds in front of a spirited crowd.

Fredericksburg Nationals starter Shamel Menifee found his groove in his team's 4-2 win over the Delmarva Shorebirds. Jim Glaus closed it out for Fredericksburg, earning his 3rd save.

Chris Lewis, who is tied for 2nd in the in extra base hits with 54, took Delmarva hurler Mike Gillenwater deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Nationals on top, 4-2. In all, Lewis had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"I thought we played a nice game," Lewis told the Fredericksburg Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The Nationals saw their win-loss record go to 75-54. At the same time, the Shorebirds fell to 69-60.
