Guardians Lose Versus Kansas City (DSL), 6-2
|
The Kansas City (DSL) Royals faced a tough opponent in Cleveland (DSL) pitcher DeMario Perales, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Cleveland Guardians Complex by a final score of 6-2. Perales went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Kansas City (DSL) reliever Eddy Lovato picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. DeMario Perales was tagged with the loss. Odero Powers picked up his 1st save of the season.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City (DSL), had it not been for Ramiro Vergara, the 19-year old left fielder . Vergara contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Kansas City (DSL) up, 4-2.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Vergara.
Kansas City (DSL) now owns a record of 9-11.
