The Miami (FCL) Marlins got a whale of a performance from center fielder Nate Taylor, but the Tampa Bay (FCL) Rays still prevailed, 9-8, in 11 innings. Taylor was 3 for 7 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The Rays saw their record improve to 10-6.

The Rays got a clutch hit from second baseman Jared Colelli. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Rays.

"No one can call baseball boring," said Rays manager Frank Garcia-Luna. "Not after a game like that."
