The Minnesota (FCL) Twins and Philadelphia (FCL) Phillies put on a pitchers' duel.
The Twins faced a stiff challenge from Philadelphia (FCL) pitcher Devin Nifosì, but persevered to claim a win at BayCare Ballpark. The final score was 2-1. Nifosì went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Minnesota (FCL) reliever Eric Cannon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Devin Nifosì was saddled with the loss. Robby Scott collected his 2nd save.
Minnesota (FCL) used the hitting of Mike Adams to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Twins on top, 2-1. For the game, Adams had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
