Frisco center fielder Andres Mireles was instrumental in helping the RoughRiders triumph, 10-6, over the Amarillo Sod Poodles. Mireles hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 and driving in 6. The winner in relief was Ruy Cabecinho. He is now 1-2. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4.2 innings. The third-place Sod Poodles dropped to 63-70.

Frisco took the lead in the top of the fifth when Mireles hit a solo home run. His 5th home run of the season made the score 6-5, Frisco.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Frisco manager Rob Burger. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
