Edgar Estrada had an impact in the 7-6 Midland win over Amarillo. The 23-year old first baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Midland reliever Daniel Ochoa picked up the win, while Jim Becker took the loss for Amarillo. The first-place RockHounds, at 79-53, lead the South Division by 8½ games.

Ben Conway was the walk-off hero for Midland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the RockHounds shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Conway.
