Harper Goes Long 3 Times
Sunday, September 28th , 2025
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Bryce Harper can celebrate.
The Philadelphia Phillies right fielder powered three into the stands at American Family Field against the Milwaukee Brewers.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Harper told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."
In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Phillies toppled Milwaukee by a score of 12-9, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.
"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Philadelphia manager Mike Scioscia said. "He gets the ball up in the air."
Bryce Harper hit a solo-shot off Jeffrey Springs in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Kenley Jansen in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Alexander Vallecillo in the 8th.
This season, Harper has delivered 114 hits in 456 at-bats for a .250 average with 36 home runs. He is getting on base at a .350 clip and his totals also include 87 RBIs and 77 runs scored. This year Harper has played in 127 games.
