Starting pitcher Jason Olsen gave the Cleveland Indians a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Minnesota Twins, 2-1, at Jacobs Field. The Indians sit in 4th place in the American League Central Division with a record of 68-85.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Indians had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when designated hitter Carlos Delgado hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Roy Oswalt and made the score 2-0, Indians. Delgado was 1-3 with a walk.

Olsen said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
