Astros Earn Win with Late Rally
The Houston Astros stopped the New York Mets, 8-7, at Astrodome. The Astros got a big game from Jermaine Dye, who was 4-5 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times. Todd Jones earned save number 29 this season. With the win over New York, the Astros improved to 82-71.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Dye delivered big-time for Houston, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Mariano Rivera. The game-changing hit put the Astros on top, 8-7.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Dye told the Houston Times.
