NL Names Best Player Monday, August 23rd , 2010 Jordan Fasci must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .462 clip, then the Adelaide second baseman finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the NL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Fasci batted .462 (12-for-26) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. Presently Fasci is batting .270 with 130 hits and 19 home runs. He has knocked in 64 runs and scored 72 times. |
