The St. Lucia Mermen got a great start from 35-year-old left-hander Andy Singman, as St. Lucia won the contest, 5-1, at Pitons Park. Singman threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 2-2.

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek went 1-5 for St. Lucia. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the seventh, van Leeuwenhoek came through with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Mermen in front, 2-1.

"It's a mindset," said Singman. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, October 7th , 2010.
