Adelaide Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in CS
|
With starter Dave Martinez leading the charge, the Adelaide Bite defeated the Toronto Huskies, 3-2, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series today. The right-hander threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 runs at P&O Cruises Stadium to help Adelaide take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
In the bottom of the seventh, Adelaide center fielder Montana Hudson hit a 2-run single to right field. The clutch hit made it, 3-1, Bite.
Huskies manager Masato Sawai did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, October 15th , 2009.
