Catalina Island Wins Division Series
The fans in Catalina Island are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in St. Barts.

The Catalina Island Wine Mixers finished off the St. Barts Silver Surfers 6-0 in the deciding game of the Division Series played at Bishops Field.

They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the League Championship Series.

For his standout play, Catalina Island third baseman Mark Poe was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .385, drove in 3 runs and scored 3 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Poe and that doomed us," said Silver Surfers manager Tyler Stiles. "Hats off to Catalina Island, though. That was a great series."

The Catalina Island Wine Mixers will play against the Byzantium Crusaders in the next round. Byzantium won their series against the Panama Diesel 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
