Snorkelers Advance to League Championship Series
|
After their 5-4 win today at Anse La Ray Stadium over the Carthage Merchants, the Anse La Raye Snorkelers will advance to the League Championship Series. Anse La Raye won the series by a 3-1 margin.
Leading the way for the Snorkelers was first baseman Alejandro Acosta, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.
"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."
The Anse La Raye Snorkelers will play against the Markham Thunder in the next round. Markham won their series against the Tampico Alijadores 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
