Sun Chasers Roll to 8-3 Win Over Bite
|
The Sint Maarten Sun Chasers relied on the hitting of third baseman Kelsey Currell to stop the Adelaide Bite, 8-3. For the game, Currell went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win for the Sun Chasers lifted their record to 85-74.
With Sint Maarten leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Currell hit a 2-run single off Adelaide hurler Tzu-hsia Jia. It was the 170th hit of the season for Currell and put his team ahead, 4-1.
Currell offered a curt "no comment" when asked to discuss the win after the game.
