Leahy Lifts Tigers to 9-4 Triumph
The Tokyo Tigers beat the Sint Maarten Sun Chasers, 9-4, at Tokyo Tigers Park. The Tigers got a fine performance from third baseman Connor Leahy, who slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Rich Tyson, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-3. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The 'W' lifts Tokyo's record to 68-84.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Leahy, who is tied for 2nd in the NL with a .580 slugging percentage, hit a solo home run. It propelled the Tigers into the lead, 2-1.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Tokyo manager Andy Cutler.
