Spirited fans greeted the Sint Maarten Sun Chasers for their clash with the Havana Sugar Kings.

The Havana Sugar Kings easily defeated the Sint Maarten Sun Chasers, 13-2, at Sun Chasers Grounds, with center fielder Greg Martin a main contributor to the win. He was 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Havana. Robert Huijts got credit for the win, improving to 11-6. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings.

The Sugar Kings got a big at-bat from left fielder Max Blakeway. For the game, Blakeway went 3 for 6 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 25th home run of the season gave Havana a 3-1 lead.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Martin.

Havana, at 91-53, is 4 games up in the Southern League Archipelago.
