Blucifers Win, 5-3, Versus Hunters

The Ballpark at Ball Park was the site of a competitive game between the Longbow Hunters and Denver Blucifers.
The Denver Blucifers topped the Longbow Hunters, 5-3, in Southern League action at The Ballpark at Ball Park. The standout performance belonged to Denver pitcher and Princess Quarter, Sint Maarten, native Tony Rosa. The triumph puts Denver at 73-69 for the season.
Robert Ortiz, who finished 3rd in the NL in batting average with .316 in 2000, chipped in for Denver with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rosa said after the game.
